Marc Kaplan provides case evaluation and focuses on solving problems through innovative solutions. With over 35 years as a trial and appellate attorney, Marc understands complicated and complex legal matters and how best to navigate through the legal system. Marc has participated in hundreds of mediations as a mediator and attorney, and brings a current knowledge of the law to each mediation. Marc’s focus is in the areas of Family Law and Domestic Relations and Professional Malpractice, with a primary emphasis on Legal Malpractice and Legal Fee disputes. Marc is available as a mediator, arbitrator and special master.
MARC J. KAPLAN, ESQ.
In addition to Marc’s role with AB Litigation Services he continues his private practice at Kaplan Law L.L.C., primarily in the areas of Domestic Relations, Legal Malpractice and Fee Disputes, and Appellate Litigation. Marc started his practice in 1984, and was subsequently a partner in the firm of Aisenberg & Kaplan, P.C. handling primarily civil disputes and personal injury, with the FELA and personal injury firm Morrisard, Rossi, Cox, Kiker and Inderwish, P.C., and Special Counsel to the domestic relations firm Gutterman, Griffiths and Heckenback, P.C. Marc has handled cases in multiple Western States and Federal Courts, as well as state and federal courts of appeal and the Colorado Supreme Court.
Marc was Vice-President of the Colorado Bar Association and President of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Marc has served and continues to serve on the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association and is the Chairman of the Lawyer’s Professional Liability Committee of the Colorado Bar Association. Marc has been a frequent lecturer for Continuing Legal Education Seminars and Conferences, and has served as an expert witness in the areas of legal malpractice and legal fees. Marc has been on the faculty teaching attorney’s trial techniques, and was an adjunct professor at the University of Denver School of Law. Marc has been selected to the list of Colorado Super Lawyers since its inception, over 15 years, and is a Best Lawyer in America for both Family Law and Legal Malpractice. Marc has been certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and Marc has served as a legal commentator for national and state television and print media.
