TERRIE L. GAY, ESQ.

Before joining Joe Epstein at CRS (now AB Litigation Services), Terrie was a Senior Trial Attorney at Temple & Associates, staff counsel for Allstate, Encompass and Esurance. While at the firm, Terrie achieved the highest percentage of mediation settlements. In addition to handling her own cases, Terrie continually attended mediations for her colleagues. Terrie has successfully mediated and co-mediated more than 200 hundred cases since entering the mediation practice.

OTHER EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining staff counsel, Terrie enjoyed a successful career in a variety of leadership positions at Allstate. She developed and coordinated evaluation and negotiation training for adjusters; reviewed complex personal injury files for authorization requests; and conducted weekly pre-trial sessions with adjusters and managers. Her other positions at Allstate included:

  • Claim Operations Manager / Chicago Metro Region
    • Subject Matter Expert in all claim operating platforms
  • Senior Home Office Performance Consultant
    • Designed adjuster and evaluation consultation training
  • Evaluation Consultant / Illinois
    • First “EC” in her office
    • Reviewed claim files for settlement authority

Mediation was still a “novelty” in Illinois when Terrie was a litigation adjuster; yet, she gained recognition as the first in her claim office to persuade plaintiff attorneys to give mediation a try. She believed then as she does now, that the mediation process can offer a satisfying experience for the parties involved.
