Alisha Coombe is an experienced mediator and arbitrator specializing in domestic relations and civil disputes. Since being admitted to practice law, Alisha has spent the majority of her career as a trial lawyer spanning nearly all areas of law to include corporate, domestic, civil, probate, criminal, and juvenile. With a background in investments and finance, Alisha is an ideal mediator/arbitrator for matters involving complex financial concerns.

Alisha has a genuine passion and respect for law and justice. Having litigated both sides of most practice areas, Alisha has the unique ability to evaluate a matter from every angle with empathy and efficiency. It is important to Alisha that no one leaves feeling she did not listen or treat them with respect and dignity. Being a family-oriented person with four children keeps Alisha on her feet when it comes to technology, fads, language, and patience. Alisha starts every med/arb with an agreeable disposition and a commitment to be an active listener and to show respect for, and alleviate the fears of, those appearing before her.


OTHER EXPERIENCE

Alisha has litigated a wide array of civil matters to include complex construction defects, breach of contract and product liability. Alisha has over 14 years’ experience in family and juvenile matters, managing a case load of over 100 and appearing in court as court-appointed counsel and private matters hundreds of cases as counsel for parents, children, guardians and other interested parties. As a corporate attorney, Alisha served as in-house counsel for all legal and business affairs of private equity firm and over 20 subsidiaries on employment, litigation, and several types of merger and acquisition agreements to include advisory grants, transfers of membership interest, operating agreements, joinder agreements, and asset purchase agreements. Before becoming a lawyer, Alisha worked at Janus Funds as a Research Associate covering many sectors including luxury goods, lodging and travel. Alisha is passionate about Access to Justice, which inspired her to write a book, Family Law Boot Camp, to help those who cannot afford counsel navigate a family law case themselves.
